Question Electrical Issue with PC Audio ?

Hello. I have a pretty weird issue going on with my headphones on my PC. Seemingly out of nowhere, my DT 770 250Ohm headphones I have had for about 3 years suddenly got this problem where the right ear-cup audio suddenly lowered itself until it was muted. It stays like that, and sometimes comes back for a few minutes until the issue repeats itself. I had them connected through my ifi Zen v2 DAC AMP, but they have the same issue whether I connect my headphones through that or directly in the front or back audio jacks of my PC.

When I plug my headphones into my PC and they stop working, the issue will stay present for a while on any devices I test them on. However, after letting them rest for a while, when I plug them into my friends PC, they work just fine; Then they work on any other device I plug them into other than my PC. I have been using my friends usb headphones, which have been working fine other than a bit of a light static-y sound all the time. I have also tested some different IEMs using the front and back jacks on my pc and they seem to all work fine.

Some other things that I have done to try to fix this problem:

  • Wiggling the wire and jack.
  • Uninstall and reinstall DAC AMP usb driver and firmware (and testing without any driver installed)
  • Comb through many windows sound settings such as the balancing levels, audio enhancements off, exc.
  • Tried plugging DAC AMP into different usb slots on my PC
  • Installed a fresh copy of windows
  • Cleaned headphones connector
  • Unplugging everything, including PC power cable for 10 minutes
  • Tested headphones with nothing else plugged into PC
  • Tested different DAC AMP
