Eluktronics any good?

Designed in Germany? unheard of unobtanium casing? if so I may give it a try.

The thing about buying off brand is... what happens after you bring it home? any quirk, any issues, you got near no community support, you are on your own, have to solely rely on bureaucratic vendor if they answer your email at all, you gotta be a serious DIY'er. Time to replace battery? good luck with that.

Just watched a tear down of it on YouTube, looks simple enough and fairly decent quality. Why would you need to be a serious DIY'er? It's just a laptop. - A screw driver and some patience is all you need.

I may give it a try, if it's crap, Amazon returns are easy enough. If the main parts are functioning well with no throttling I will just add better quality RAM/NVME drive in myself.

Honestly, buying from any big brand such as Asus is no guarantee on quality or good support either.

Your chances are much higher of support with a name brand. If the laptop has nice looking components and you aren't afraid to use a screwdriver, i would go for it.
