Question Emerson Soundbar Annoying Notices

With hdmi-arc connection from my LG tv to Emerson 2002 soundbar, I get a loud "Power On HDMI" when I turn on the tv. I cannot control this sound level. Also when I turn the tv off, a get a loud "Power Off". I am buying an optical cable hoping I can resolve it that way, lower quality sound is nothing compared to this at 1:00am. Also wondering if hdmi-arc to rca connection on my soundbar would resolve this.

I was unable to reach Emerson Radio.

What happens if you use the soundbar's remote control to turn off (or mute) the sound bar before turning off the TV?

I tried that to be sure and no good. I notice when I change source I get a loud "Optical on" so i think it is just a bad design.

So its clearly the sound bar and your earlier thoughts about switching to an Optical or hdmi to rca adapter would not resolve the situation. My next thought would be how much electricity and cost would result from leaving the soundbar on when its idle and not in use? But I'm guessing they don't provide an specs on that.
