enabling dma on nvidia nforce 430

recently i upgraded to amd64 3200 nforce 430
*using 32 bit kernel2.6.9-22.0.2 and 2.6.11-1 fc4
installed successfully 8.1 sound alsa 1.0.10
nvnet ethernet from nforce chipset driver (ide /motherboard drivers not there nvidia says standard industry architecture)
nvidia graphics driver for 6100
my problem is hard disk cd file transfer slows system shows cpu usage upto 60% hdparm shows using_dma=0 enabling dma with hdparm gives error hdio_setdma_failed operation not permitted. i have tried passing ide0=dma ide0=autotune ide0=ata66 etc to kernel durin boot but noeffect my hardisk are samsung ata133 7200rpm 120gb and seagate barracuda 80gb ata100 7200 rpm
due to this problem system is very slow
i would be grateful for any help

lspci -vvvvvvvvvv # and post the results here

hdparm -I -vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv /dev/hda # please repeat for all the drives in the system /dev/hdb /dev/hdc /dev/sda /dev/sdb etc

hdparm -i -vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv /dev/hda # and repeat for all drives in the system as above

# btw FC4 x86_64 will run MUCH faster, unfortunately it will require a re-install
