Enabling RAID with MSI P55M-GD45

Greetings!

I recently completed a build with an MSI P55M-GD45 MOBO. I have 2 identical HDDs connected via SATA. I do not get the option to use the RAID configuration menu. Given that the manual is rather vague, I have tried various BIOS settings. I am sure I am missing something obvious. Since I have installed the OS and some software, is there a way to enable RAID 0 striping without destroying the data?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Doug,

you can keep your data if you back-it up and then write back to the disk but you cannot retrospectively enable RAID 0 on two hard drives. you need to establish strip size and this is done when installing a RAID setup.

Cut your loss and back up and wipe the lot. i have the similar drives as you (f1) and they are wonderful in RAID 0.

RAID is always easier to deal with when you plan from day one, changing your config after it has been setup is more hassle than it needs be.
