Encrypted with BitLocker, Now I Can't Access Drive

On my Windows 10 pro system, I have a Seagate 2TB USB 3.0 HDD (STBV20000100). I decided to encrypt it with BitLocker, . I started the encryption and 13 hours later it had reached about 80%. When next I checked, the encryption status windows was gone, but when I click on the drive letter, I get a popup in the upper right corner that says

BitLocker (E: )

The BitLocker encryption on this drive isn't compatible with your version of Windows. Try opening the drive using a newer version of Windows.

which makes no sense since it's the same version of Windows that did the encryption.

When I look at the logs, I see several

I'd really like to recover the data from this drive. Any suggestions?

hi the only way i can think of getting your drive back working would be to do a full format of your drive as it is corrupt using hdd manager to format the drive

BitLocker is flaky. Many problems reported.
