i need to replace my 6 year old epson RX585 all in one using 6 inks, that has done well since I bought it but is now giving problems when photo printing despite running through all the usual procedures. Cant make up my mind whether to fork out about £130 for an Epson P50 and hope photo quality is as good with its 6 inks - or go for a Canon Mg5350 at £99 that onlu uses 5 inks. Anyone any experience of this Canon model as her indoors would be happier ath the price.

As you are using Epson printer I think it will wise to buy Epson again. Canon Mg5350 is also good printer. If you budget is less then you can buy that.

Thanks nicolas_80. My last 3 printers have all been epson and last time i went up to 6 inks and was surprised at how much better phots were. Bit worried about going back down to 4 or 5 inks even though we dont do much printing - when we do we want it to be best quality with regards to photos. Probably go for epson XP750 to keep scanning/copying facility as the P50 hast got this and my old old HP scanner doesnt work with anything other than XP.
