Welcome to Tom's Forum!
Clearly the BIOS is corrupted, this is ASUS's way of telling you to insert the ASUS OEM CD/DVD that came with your MOBO -- part of the
ASUS CrashFree BIOS 2 recovery process.
You have (2) choices:
1. Use the ASUS OEM CD/DVD and insert it in the PC's CD/DVD/BR drive
2. Create a NEW CD/DVD with your (file_name.ROM) file -
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_Socket_754/K8VMX/#download
* (a) To determine the correct (file_name.ROM) ROM file name put in any CD/DVD ; see video.
* (b) Download the latest BIOS (.ROM) file from the link above, unzip (extract) K8VMX211.zip, copy the K8VMX211.ROM file to the desktop, RENAME per (a) above as shown in the video below.
* (c) Burn the CD/DVD with the file_name.ROM
Recovery: Turn-on PC with the NEW CD/DVD <or> ASUS OEM CD/DVD and allow the recovery to complete.
