error message 0xc8000152

hi
i am trying to install the new windows updates an i get error message
0xc8000152 when i try. i have been able to update my other computers there is
just one that i cannot update
can someone please help

hi

i have tryed all of them and they are no help
i conntacted microsoft and they saud that it is a rare error code and they
dont have much info on it
i i have a program called clean slate on my machine and i dont no if it is
that, that is preventing updates

Greetings egey,
Yes.....Clean Slate can prevent you from getting your updates. I went
to their site http://www.fortres.com/products/cleanslate.htm and got
this from the FAQs:
"Can I still allow virus protection software updates to run properly
with Clean Slate?
Yes. You can enter the virus software in the Exempted Applications
screen in the Clean Slate interface. The Exempted Applications screen
allows you to configure programs to have unrestricted and persistent
access to the hard drive."

In your case I would enter Windows Updates and your anivirus software.
