Error when burning a 50GB disc full - LG BH10LS30

Wonder if anyone can help me with a problem with this drive.

I get a burn error when ever I try to burn a 50GB discs full, that is, burn a backup that spans over multiple discs. Works fine when I burn a 50GB data disc and leave it to 43-45 GB. Also 25 GB discs work fine when doing backups. I've tried doing a backup on two different programs, Ashampoo burning studio 10 and Backup4all. On both occasion the burn fails when it is writing the few last 100 MB's.

Backup4all gives me an error that the burn has failed and if I want to try again insert a disc that has at least 47 GB of space. As far as I know, the max for 50GB discs is 46,62 GB(GiB).

Is it possible for the drive to misinterpret the disc size? It seems that it's trying to fit just a hair too much data on the disc. Normally would blame the burning software but it happened on 2 different programs and the error occurs in both cases at the 99% mark.

Hope you can help me out guys. I've lost quite a few 50GB discs and those things aren't cheap. Is it a faulty drive or is there some setting I can change?

I'm using verbatim 6X and burning at 4X
Latest firmware is installed 1.01 (iirc). Checked with ImgBurn

Found out this article that says Windows 7 has a bug when burning blu rays.

It seems to be very similar to what I'm experiencing(and so is the work around), but the bug should only effect the in built burning software and not third party software. I can't really use the work around when burning backups. Most, if not all backup software usually want to burn the discs full and you can't limit the size.

Well, Imgburn doesn't have a backup option.
The point of using backup software is that I dont have to keep track of what I've already backed up.

Wonder if anyone can help me out with my Problem. I used to made an Firmware update, since my LB BH10LS30 drive was unable to read 50GB Verbatim blanks. Now it does not work anymore. It burns CDs and DVDs perfectly, Plays everything, but it is not working with BRs or DL-BRs anymore. I used to work with Verbatim blanks only, since the last couple of years, and never had Problems. I already tried to reupdate it to the old Firmware Version, no success so far. I also formated my PC and resetuped everything again, no success aswell. This is the error message I got, when using ImgBurn. Also not working on other burn sofware programs :-(
