Is it okay if I touch the connector pins, CMOS battery, and the Northbridge chipset without grounding myself? I've heard that the static electricity can damaged MB.

You are unlikely to damage a motherboard (bare chips are another thing) with casual handling, but why take chances?

Try to minimize the amount of handling.

As long as the rig is not running when you touch any of those, you should be fine
And if you really need to keep touching all that stuff, you might as well get a Wristband that helps discharge the static by connecting one end to the case and then go ahead handling such things, that is, if you're so worried about the whole thing.
I wouldn't be.....
