So for the 32" 144hz 4k market, we're starting to see some products come out.
However, the most affordable option is the $1000 https://geni.us/AORUSFI32U
Which does not have HDR 600.
That brings us to the Asus line up, which is just ridiculously priced atm.

What the heck is with Asus' prices? Why is HDR seemingly the disparage between $3000 and $1000? Is this a panel production issue?
Does anyone know of any other alternatives for 32" 144hz @4k?
I use https://www.displayninja.com/new-monitors/ to keep track but man, why is this market so limited? I guess I already am expecting the 'covid/manufacturing past year' yadda yadda, but I guess there's not really any other reasons huh?
Also, is that $1000 Gigabyte monitor worth it even if it's not HDR600? I just want to spend money on something that's good, but not spend $3000. What would I miss out on without HDR600?

The first iteration of of new sizes and good specs is always going to expensive. The companies spend the development dollars and they want the rewards.

4 years ago I spent like $900 on one of the first 1440 144 IPS monitors in the PG279Q, now you can get one for a 1/3rd of the price.

If you want something good, consider the big OLED displays out right now.
