I recently built a new pc and for the 2nd time in 2 weeks the motherboards Ethernet port/lan adapter has gone bad. Initially I returned the first motherboard and installed the second thinking it was just a bad board but now that the second has also gone bad I’m questioning if I just got really unlucky with 2 boards or if something is causing the issue.
Both boards were the exact same and will be listed below. The boards worked fine for about 6 days then suddenly the Ethernet wasn’t recognized or when it was it was limited to 100mbps instead of 2.5gbps. I bought a usb to Ethernet adapter and it gets the speeds it normally would so I know it isn’t the cord or isp.

Gigabyte 4090
Ryzen 7 7800x3D
MSI MAG b650 tomahawk WiFi
1200w Corsair PSU
