System:
- i7 3770
- Asus P8B75-M
- 16gb RAM
- GTX 780 ti 3gb
- TP-Link N300 PCIe Adapter
- Cheapo USB Bluetooth Adapter
So I got 8gb more RAM (upgrading from 8gb) and the wifi and bluetooth adapters. After installing all three, I reset Windows to factory. Now, everything new works fine, but the ethernet shows as no cable connected. The same cable works on another PC, and worked on the PC before the upgrade. The lights beside the ethernet port that light up when a cable is attached don't light up as well.
Things I've tried:
- Reset CMOS
- Reset Windows again
- Tried another cable and another router port, even though I know this one works
- Removing the motherboard from the case, inspecting for visual damage (couldn't find any)
- Installing, reinstalling, disabling, enabling, anything that you could think of within Device Manager using both stock Windows drivers and the drivers from the Asus website
It looks like I physically damaged something on the motherboard. Thoughts?
