Question Ethernet Connection Issue

I recently had a fresh windows install and now I cannot use ethernet, I tried the cable on my laptop and it worked on there. what could be the issue on my pc?

Do you have the driver for the NIC loaded? You need the motherboard chipset first then the LAN driver.
