Ethernet loses connection when computer goes to sleep.

I like to put my computer to sleep when im not using it to conserve energy, I have an ethernet cable for internet and it always disconnects when i put my computer to sleep.
I tried some methods where they change the power settings, but these were specific to wifi.

that is normal once your system goes to sleep it turns off the ports (usb and ethernet) why most people just dont use sleep anymore.

sleep is power save state. keeping connection on means constant drain of power. on android it would mean 0 battery in the morning.
if you manage to unblock it in BIOS (sometimes you can) stuff like wake on lan will wake your PC randomly

Hey, don't put me in that crowd, been sleeping since the 90s.

OP, so it disconnects, what is the problem? It reconnects when PC wakes doesn't it? Mine does. Do u need PC to do stuff while is asleep? While sleep, doesn't stop WOL function.

So don't let me beat it out of you, what exactly do you do to reconnect? What browser says when try to go somewhere? any other messages?
