Ethernet plug in my home

I have a qwest wireless modem in my home. I also have an ethernet plug behing my tv. I need to get the satallite receiver, xbox and blue ray all running in the interenet but there is only one ethernet plug. can I use an extra wireless router (Linksys), plug it into the thernet port on the wall and then plug everythin into the router to get them online?

Yes, but you should disable DHCP and use only the LAN ports.
