Hello,

I have an internet service that has an Ethernet cable input - not DSL.
However, I only have a DSL Modem + Router.

Since my modem + router accepts only a DSL input, what can I do to convert my Ethernet cable to provide a DSL input for the modem + router i.e. short of buying a different modem and / or router?

No wall outlet. Lets just say that the setup is a bit weird here. I have an Ethernet cable that comes into the house. So there's this cable and then there's a DSL modem + router (than has an input DSL port) and I don't think I could modify the modem firmware in any way to configure inputs through the lan outlets on the modem.

Currently the Ethernet cable connects to a customized modem provided by the service provider that has ethernet inputs and outputs and then this goes into a separate router.
Am trying to see if I can ditch this 2-piece installation and just try this with a DSL modem+router instead.
