Question Every single app on my Windows 10 keeps crashing

From league of legends to discord and even as far as chrome extensions, i run into them either just shutting down or crashing and giving me a crash message. I'm convinced that the new cpu i purchased yesterday is the source of the issue. I upgraded from a i5-7400k to a i5-9400F. And yes i also upgraded the motherboard so they are compatible with each other. Pc and everything works fine except when load becomes mildly stronger than what a 15 year old processor would handle.

Should i use my warranty and claim a new cpu or could i have simply just misplaced a cable inside the pc? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Ram: DDR4 2400mhz 16gb (4x4gb)

PSU: Cooler master 500W
Specs changed to: NEW

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B360-F

What bios do you have running on the motherboard?

From system information: BIOS-version/-date. American Megatrends Inc. 1402, 03.04.2019
Biosmode: UEFI

(Im obiviously not great with this but i hope i answer well)

ok try updating the bios to 1502, it has a new updated Intel management engine and updated system stability. Perhaps this will clear up the problem. https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B360-F-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/

And did you reinstall Windows? When changing motherboards as you did it's required.

Really, its required? Then i will try that aswell on monday when i get my external harddrive. Thanks alot for answering guys <3
