I have a 600w evga 80 plus certified power supply (no bronze, silver, gold ect.)
current specs:
i5 6500
8gb ddr4 2133 ram
evga gtx 960
im planning to upgrade to these:
i7 6700 (non-k)
16gb ddr4 2133
evga gtx 980 ti
Should i upgrade my power supply to a evga 600w bronze, 600w silver, or 600w gold? or is my 80 plus certified good enough?

Solution
Certification is not equal to quality. It only relates to efficiency, so saving a tiny bit more money on the electricity bill. Your current power supply is lower quality, and so is the EVGA 600 bronze. And there is no 600W silver or gold.

I'd upgrade the power supply to something like an XFX Pro 650W, or an EVGA 750W B2, or a 650W GQ, or a 650W G2.
