This power supply was $44.99 with free shipping refurbished the other day. Surprisingly, I had enough self control not to buy it, but a friend of mine who was in the market for a decent standard length PSU did buy it and took some photos.

From what EVGA says, it looked promising.

Any clue who the OEM is?

Very odd layout to me, definitely not a platform I am familiar with. DC-DC boards are pretty prominent at least, but overall odd layout.

No photo of the underside of the PCB, but with the jumpers I see, it looks like a single layer PCB.

If Corsair released that current gen CS-M over here and it were to be a similar price to what the GT650 often sells for ~$75 I think it would sell decently well.

You have to consider that's an unrealistic sell price based on current market situation. EVGA is strong arming distributors to buy a PSU with every graphics card or they don't get graphics cards. Since graphics cards are in such high demand, they're taking EVGA up on their offer, buying a PSU with every graphics card, then flipping the PSUs as quick as possible so they don't sit on a bunch of inventory.

This doesn't happen in China.

This unit keeps going down and down in price on Amazon. It is insanely cheap right now.

GT650 is $50 New sold and shipped by Amazon.
Amazon.com: EVGA Supernova 650 GT, 80 Plus Gold 650W, Fully Modular, Auto Eco Mode with FDB Fan, 7 Year Warranty, Includes Power ON Self Tester, Compact 150mm Size, Power Supply 220-GT-0650-Y1: Computers & Accessories

Additionally GQ650 for $45, G3 550w for $40, B5 650w for $40. Tons of good deals. At least that benefit came from the GPU shortage...

At least the GT is somewhat decent. I would not recommend the GA or GQ to anyone, though. Surprised they still have G3. Thought EVGA burned their bridge with Superflower a long time ago. Then again, they burned their bridge with Seasonic and still managed to convince them to make the G6.

Actually, it seems that they still sell even G2 and P2. The latter is okay, they don't have a replacement for it, but how the hell they apparently still manufacture both G2 and G3 ?!
I suspect that's reburbished stuff being sold as new ... Or they've manufactured so many of them that there's still something to sell in the vaults lol.
PS: Also, damn, 50$ ?! That's really damn cheap ... I don't need a new PSU but, it's hard to convince myself not to buy it lol.

I have no idea. Obviously, I'm going to be extremely suspect. But I think because I know how the sausage is made, I reserve the right to be suspect.

I'm thinking either refurb or, more likely, it's not actually built by SuperFlower.
