Alright guys, so my previous graphics card (gtx 760) finally died on me while under warranty. EVGA being the awesome guys they are, accepted my RMA and sent me a new card within a week. They even went ahead and sent me a gtx 960 FTW. I just don't know whether I should (1) just keep the card and hope it keeps up with the current games, then upgrade when Nvidia releases their "pascal" series, or (2) sell it new for $200, and put in $120 to get a 970, and hope that keeps up with future games... Thoughts?

You already got a free upgrade so you should be seeing some performance gains over your old card. If you weren't thinking about upgrading your old card yet you have even less reason to do so now.

Yes, the 970 is better than the 960 and I liked the 970 well enough to buy two of them. My advice would be to just enjoy your new card until you aren't happy with its performance. Then you can sell it and Nvidia will probably have a new series of GPUs available by then.
