Sometimes when I turn on my system, you hear the one beep at post but it stops loading at the main screen where it says, CPU speed, RAM speed. Basically the point where you can enter the bios or set boot sequence. This particular motherboard has a Debug LED on it. When it freezes on post screen I described, the Debug LED shows the number 75. In the manual it says, "HDD" in name and description, "IDE detection device." I reset and same thing happened. I had to completely shut down my system for it to load to the desktop. Could one of my HDD's be on it's last leg? They are 2 years old. All temps are below 27 degrees celsius. My internals are:
X58 EVGA SLI E758-A1
i7 920 (not overclocked)
GSKILL 6GB triple ddr-3 ram (3x2GB) which is suppose to be at 1600 but underclocks as 1066 (don't ask!! That's another nightmare. If I set it to 1600, I get BSOD's). <not on recommened list for MB but asked EVGA and they said it should be fine).
Saphire 4870
300GB WD raptor
1TB WD Caviar Black
LG SATA x22 DVD-RW
