Hi, I am going to purchase a graphics card and was going to get the R9 270x but I have been told of a lot of people to get a nvidia gpu

I have been looking online for one and I have come across EVGA 960, its in my price range but it is compatible with the rest of my parts?

MOBO - MSI H81M-E33 MicroATX
CPU - Intel Pentium G3258
RAM - 2x4GB HyperX Fury
CASE - CiT Spectre 2x white
PSU - Corsair CX500 80+ Bronze

*also if anyone can recommend a better gpu for around 120-170 GBP, that'd be great*

Does the manufacturer of the card make a difference? you send me a link to a gigabyte one but the one I was looking at was the EVGA one LINK is there any difference in performance between the different manufacturers? *EDIT: also is a 500w alright? its not going to bottlekneck the gpu is it

I'm not sure how good of an idea it is to pair that GPU with a Pentium. I'm not calling "bottleneck" but, what I am is saying is that processor is well, slow. The 960 is a great GPU especially for the price, but that GPU is going to hold you back from any sort of gaming.

If you do decide to go with the 960 the manufacturer really does not matter. This is one of the only cards in where they are all equal for the most part. Personally I would go with the Asus Strix 960 as it is the smallest size and has the lowest temperature.
