EVGA SuperNOVA 1000W G2 installation?

I just got the aforementioned PSU and I am now going to install my gpu. I have a sapphire r9 390 nitro which requires 2 8 pin vga connectors. I have 4 cables that only have two ends: 1 8 pin on one end and another 8 pin on the other end. So am I supposed to connect two of those cables into the PSU and then connect the two ends into my GPU? I'm used to 1 wire having two 8 pins connected to each other.

one of the 8 pin cable if it locked together to make a 8 pin cable out of two four pin connectors and marked cpu is the mb pci power connector. on newer power supplys they might be eight pin or a 6 plus 2 cables for the gpu. on modualr power supply the power supply ends are all the same color as the plugs on the power supply.
