Hello,

I have been living in Seoul for some time and I'm preparing to return to the States. I bring with me my HTPC build, minus the PSU due to the voltage differences between the two countries. I currently have a GTX 980 and I plan on an SLI set-up down the road; therefore, I am thinking about purchasing the EVGA SuperNOVA P2 850. I currently have an i5-3570k OCd at 4.5, which has been doing me just fine. I know this will need to be swapped out soon if I plan on the SLI upgrade. However, I am wondering if I will run into any problems when I rebuild my system with the superNOVA PSU? Will I be able to run all connectors and simply power it up? Or will there be more to this and is my outdated i5 going to cause any issues? Thanks.

It shouldn't be a problem. Your PSU is primarily converting the available AC power to DC current, so aside from regional/national AC differences it should just be a plug-n-play scenario.

You probably don't need to adjust your OC, either -- as long as it's stable with the voltage adjustments you've made, switching to a more reliable PSU should help keep it more stable. That being said...I would recommend making a note of your current OC settings, set it back to stock before switching, & then see if you can even push it higher with the newer PSU.
One other thing, I forgot to mention, regarding my OC. Should I set all BIOS settings back to default when I breakdown my system, then rebuild with the new PSU? I would assume that changing the PSU may impact the OC, but then again this may not be a problem at all.
