But I have a super-mega-elite keyboard and mouse combo with a .005ms polling response time and they absolutely NEED those USB 3.0 ports!!!!!

Shuttle made a mini itx X79 Barebone ...

I am waiting for their new X99 one.

Actually , if you dont bother with DDR4 , you can buy the shuttle and take out the motherboard and use it in the case you like.

I have observed the opposite. The kits I am interested in have actually increased in price by around $100 since Haswell-E's introduction.

This board's price is ridiculous. ASRock has two Micro-ATX boards, both of which have PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2. This board has neither Sata Express nor M.2 SSD capability (1 slot, but only big enough for a wifi card), and retails for that insane price. This thing might cling tight to the EVGA reputation of good overclocking, but it doesn't have sh*t for features, looks like a piece of sh*t compared to every other X99 board, and will only cost you a fortune.

Shuttle's SFF is NOT Mini ITX. AMD designed DTX based on Shuttle SFF. Look at how deep the board is from front to back. Look at how many expansion slots it has. DTX is 2.9" deeper and 1.3" "wider" than mini ITX, as it should be.

AMD was right, consumers were wrong, and Shuttle does whatever is best for Shuttle. The only good to come of AMD's efforts were that mini ITX guys got DTX cases to hold their long, double-slot graphics cards.

well lets demand DTX from all Asus , Asrock and others ? why do they stick with ITX ? anyways DTX fits in most ITX 2 slots cases !!! even if the DTX is little longer , all ITX cases are designed to take long VGA cards so it will fit ... and I am waiting for shuttle to release X99 and will get one !!!

How about you write about it ? lets make an Article Demanding all companies to ignore mini ITX and go for DTX ? you know even Z97 needs four dimms for 32G !!!

Do it ! Write about it .. make them wake up and start going DTX !!! will fit in most cases. most have 2 slots.

DO IT ! Make them wake up . it is better even for normal Haswel ..

The market (that's some of you guys) resisted DTX, and it's probably too late to get a manufacturer to take it seriously now. Maybe EVGA? You're right, there are a bunch of DTX cases being sold as ITX, and some DTX cases were "revised" to ITX by adding more hard drive bays where the front of the board would have been.

I think your best bet, if you want more DIMMs in the DTX-capable cases we already have, is to pressure a smaller company to produce it. I can't do that, it would be abuse of discretion. But you can :)

I tried to contact Asus and others R&D but I failed to find any emails. can you help me ? I never insisted on ITX , I always used shuttles since the first models even my first P4 HT was shuttle., and if I did not like the case I just take the motherboard out and put it in another better water cooled tiny case.
for some reason all the companies refused to give me important email addresses. and they dont publish it. and they dont care to reply , yea today Asus is so huge they dont care , I remember 20 years ago they used to reply to everyone and to any email.

I did some Area calculations on the ITX , if they use SO-DIMM , and the power on Riser card , it is possible to make 4 dimms ITX , but I guess no one will be buying them , most want to overclock the thing.

Edit: how about you REVIEW one of the Shuttles and mention it in the review ? indirect hinting ?

Review this shuttle http://global.shuttle.com/products/productsDetail?productId=1855

and mention the need of DTX motherboards and that they are better.

and by the way , it was INTEL and not the consumers who made the choice about mini ITX and forced it on the market.

Like I was saying, a company like EVGA that can make a profit at low volume would be your best bet. And I'm pretty sure they troll their own forums :)

I've been reading and viewing the reviews for the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv and would probably refer that to people looking for cooling inside compact enclosures...without reverting to AIO or proper watercooling.

Water Cooling .. and only Water cooling for Compact Powerful PC . whisper quiet.

Killer is a nice board, you'll see it in the near future.

I guess ocer9999 and xLendary Just won the review Board you have promised them :) ...

I just built a miniITX system with SSD that is so fast that I'm good for 10 years+ and the whole thing cost me peanuts. I can see pro's needing the LGA 2011 but for the rest of us I guess it's good reading more than anything else.

i am definitely getting the evga board specifically because it finally dumped the horrid ps/2 port! thank u so much evga, i have already tried your board and they r surely very high quality.
