I want to make a diagram (Excel Windows XP) by selecting data from 8 rows
(rows 6-8 + 22-23 + 37-39) out of total 40 and 6 out of 20 columns. The
problem is that even though I can get a preview of the diagram I want to
create I cannot save it since I get a message that the data ranges are to
complicated to be shown.

Since the dataranges are not all that complicated here I have tried to write
them myself but I'm not able to complete them, it seems like the space in
which the datarange is to be written is limited.
I also cannot choose a fewer rows and complete the diagram with the rest
when editing the diagram because then the added columns in the graph overlap
the ones entered initially.

Another problem is when using the "Ctrl"-button to highlight data to be used
inthe diagram one cannot use it no "UN-highligt" if the wrong cell is
accidently highlighted.

I worked a lot with Excel about 7 years ago and did not then meet the
current problem.

Can anyone help me to solve these problems?

Asking the question in news:microsoft.public.excel or
news:microsoft.public.excel.charting might be a better option, Chris.
