Hello

I'm currently in the possesion of a Lenovo Ideacenter Y900 that has a Lenovo Skybay NOK(name of the motherboard is lenovo ideacenter y900-34ISZ) and i'm looking to upgrade it with an ssd,but one that has as requirement a PCI Express 3.0 x4 M.2 2280 (due to 3.5GB/s writting/reading speed, definitely not looking for sata3).
Anyway,i'm currently either too tired or i genuinely can't understand what the PCI Express means,or if it even exists on my motherboard.
If by any chance there's a way to bypass that with an adaptor(heard a friend saying smtg about it) i'm looking forward for your ideeas.

Have a nice day,and thanks for reading/solving my issue.

You want an M.2 NVMe drive like a Samsung 970 EVO or similar drive.
But you said you don't know if your motherboard has an M.2 NVMe slot...

This post says a Skybay motherboard is an H170. It SHOULD have an M.2 NVMe slot.

This post shows a diagram of the motherboard for a Y900 and shows where the M.2 slot is located (hint it is labeled) .
