exfat ext2 & ext3

Solution
exFAT is new and XP could have problems with it. WIn10 has no problems with it.
You can download a bootable cd image of GParted.
You can then format your USB stick into something XP can accept e.g. NTFS
You can also use WIn10 to reformat it into NTFS
I just got a usb stick that has exfat file system and I can't format it to ntfs so I'm stuck with the exfat and my win xp can't deal with it so to put files onto it i have to transfer from winXP to back up device then transfer to win10 laptop then to usb stick which is ridiculous. I want to be able to transfer direct from win xp to the usb stick. Its a 512gb stick and I wonder if my notebook would format it from exfat to ntfs without any problems?
