Question Existing SSD will work on new motherboard ?

I am upgrading my motherboard to a ASUS Prime Z690-P CSM D5 Motherboard and getting a 12th gen processor , will my NVME Samsung SSD 970 SCSI disk device ( this is the name in device manager ) it says 970evo plus on the stick ,will it work on my new mother board since i got it a year or to ago

It should just pcie 3 speed.

Yes but it's good idea to temporarily disable or remove any other drive with OS on it.

There are 2 boot options on bios but it is booting of the one on 970 so just remove the other one from bios? or u mean when i get new motherboard make sure no other device with windows on it is connected

Im getting ASUS Prime Z690-A D5 Motherboard instead cause its cheaper does this also support 970 evo 2280? also, this might sound stupid but I'm a bit computer illiterate does it support HDD the non SSDs ones the old ones

All modern MBs with a M'2 slot support NVMe drives.
All modern MBs with SATA ports support all SSDs and HDDs.
