Expectetations for GTX 780 and HD8970

Any idea on how much they will be more powerful than than current video cards(GTX 680 and 7970)?

I have finally decided to replace my current 5870 once the new generations of video cards are released. I just dont want to play the upcoming games under 1080p and under 50 fps.

no idea! it's almost impossible to predict future but you can expect a 30-50% boost over 680/7970.

Yeah, it's difficult to predict, we would know more by around New Years 2013. By then I would be nearly complete with my choices on a new CPU/mobo as my current one is aging. I'm still surprised on how good it is even today. The X58 chipset is indeed impressive to have lasted this long and still compete with the best of today.

I would like to buy the GTX 770 and use my current GTX 670 for PhysX duty as Unreal Engine 4 maxed out will most likely cripple even today's mightiest rigs. I think it will be the new Crysis that will take a few more generations of hardware to be able to play it maxed out, lol.

How about that they'll be available in volume quantities rather than a few here and there if your local store was lucky enough to order a few at the right time!!

my high-flow bracket on this GTX 580 SC isn't cutting it by itself.

Theres rumor that the 8000 series offer 40% more performance than the 7000 series. The GK110 offer about 25% more performance than the 600 series. I will buy both in any case. Performance is getting ridiculous!
