Hi everyone,
Ive had an issue with League of Legends stuttering and feeling choppy although high FPS for the past 4-5 months making it almost unplayable. I know decent amount about computers and settings but i can not fix this issue, so i bought a new PC and the problem still stays and im thinking its some setting or something that can be changed. It wouldn't make sense to have the same issue on a new computer with even better specs. I also asked around friends if they had the same issue when dragging the client around and if it was choppy, and none else has this problem.
I realised the issue back in february on my old computer when i was dragging the client around and the client was feeling choppy, like moving in 15-20 FPS. Other programs or applications client such as discord, google chrome when moving around is smooth like butter. In game however, stable fps on 144 locked my game was stuttering and feeling unplayable due to the choppyness of it. I unlocked fps to check my fps values and i am getting over 220/230 on on the lows and avg around 250. When i lock fps to 144, it barely or absolutetly never drops down a single frame per second so it is running stable but feel still choppy and not smooth.
My current specs:
Intel Core i7 7700K ( 4.6 MHz running stable )
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
16GB RAM( 3600MHz ) - XMP Enabled
144 Hz monitor running through DVI-D cable ( plugged to the graphics card)
Temperatures can not be the issue as they are around 50-60 on both gpu and cpu, as im running liquid cooled system.
With these specs, i shouldnt have any sorts of lag or any issue at all and the game should run smooth like butter however it does not. Having the same issue on two different computers makes me believe there is something wrong with my settings or the guides ive followed but cant put my finger to which.
I have :
* Reset Windows
* Disabled Game Mode
* Disabled XBOX DVR
* Updated Graphics Card Drivers
* Enabled XMP
* Done almost every optimizationguide on youtube for performance( disable gamebarwrite etc )
* Game is set on high priority on Task Manager
* Game is set on high performance on Graphics settings
* Locking FPS to 144
* Ran the game as DX9 instead of DX11 ( both same )
* Optimized the Nvidia Control panel for FPS and performance
* Turned off High Precision Event Timer aswell
I feel so hopeless and on the verge of breaking down almost, every possible help is appricated because i am so tired of this issue and i just want to play this game when im free on time. I cant show video of the choppyness of the client since it doesnt show up in recording. Im at stable atleast 200 fps, and when i lock to 144 it never drops below yet i experience lag.
