extensions

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain (More info?)

I want to show what kind of extension to each file. I have been to
Tools-Folder Options-File Types-Advanced and checked box "Always show
extension" but files still just show name without extension - advice please
(and can I do all files in one go?) - thanks. Take care, David
