Question External antenna for Sony STRDH190 receiver

I would like to ask a question about the Sony STRDH190 receiver. Sony has an antenna dipole wire with a micro 2-pin connection that comes with the receiver. I would like to connect an external FM directional antenna via coaxial cable instead. In this case, FM reception would be optimal. Can I use 75-300 ohm adapter? See the pictures below

I think the Sony is a single wire antenna. You might want to read this -- https://www.savenetradio.org/improve-fm-signal-on-radio-with-a-single-wire-antenna/
You can't directly adapt a single wire to coax easily.
