Hello all - have a question I'm looking for some advice on. I was cleaning out some stuff the other day and came across and old HDD in a box. I am not sure if it contains any pictures which were not backed up elsewhere so wanted to check out what was on it when I discovered the USB port on the drive is broken - it looks like where you plug into the drive was broken off on the inside as there is now only an empty space right there.
So I'm trying to figure out how to access this drive. In addition to the USB port it did have a Firewire connection as well - but I am unsure if a Firewire - USB adapter of some sort would work to read the drive or not. I'm not worried about writing to the drive, all I would want to do is view the files on it and possibly copy them from the drive to my Windows laptop.
The only other option I can think of is to remove the drive from the case and purchase an external dock to attach it in.
So - thought I would check on here to see if there are any suggestions on how to go about this.
Thanks!
