External optical drive USB 3.0 support

Hi, I'm using a external optical drive to my windows 10 pc, using the msi Z 2370-a-pro mobo and the drive is recognised in device manger but doesn't work..I have tried to run troubleshooting but it fails to identify the problem, could anyone please assist me?#

There are recent owners comments which say the device does not work in Windows 10 but one such owner has found a solution.

doesn't work in what way? Like when you go to computer it doesn't list the drive as there?
