extra air cooling

Ok, my case has two fans int he back, one for the case and one that is for the P3. The P3 has a heat sink that covers the slot and I have a chasis that points to the P3. I am going to sell the p3 and get a duron and new mobo. I plan to overclock it and I am getting artic silverII and good heat sink/fan. With the 3.5in fan blowing down on the duron with all the other stuff help much?

you should have the fan screwed or attached directly on the heatsink, not just blowing on it from a distance away.

What I mean is I will have artic silver II, heat sink and fan like normal but I also have a empty fan on the back that right now cools my P3. Since I won't use it anymore I want to know if it will help cool the cpu along side the heat sink and fan.

probably not, but you could always turn it around and use it as an exhaust fan.

I was thinking that too, probably would be better for that for my dusty environment.
