I am extracting a zip file of Apache Tomcat which is a shade over 10MB. Tried a few different zip files so not isolated an incident. It has 737 items. I am not sure why it is taking 15 minutes as I have a fast computer. ASUS Zephyrus GX531GM-ES009R. Hex Core i7 GTX 1060 6GB Gaming Laptop. Recent install of windows 10 from ASUS support (replaced M.2) Disabled turbo to keep it cool under 53C running @ 2.2ghz. Windows 10.0.19042 Build 19042. Only started doing this after recent update. Does anyone else have this problem?

Solution
Right click archive, extract here with standard tool in Windows 10.

Do you have any 3rd party software to test?

I use PowerArchiver for many years without issue, be it on a winxp or win10 machine. And my zip files usually weigh several GB with hundred thousand files inside.

You can try it for free, it has the same right click contextual menu so your habit will be the same.
