Extreme noobs guide to overclocking i7 930

Hi, So I dunno if this is too much to ask but if there is anyone who can give me step by step instructions on how to overclock my CPU I would greatly appreciate it.

Ive tried looking at some online guides but they require a little more understanding of computer terminology than I have, Ive replaced components of PC so I know the hardware aspect a little.

-Studio xps 9100 - intel i7 930 @2.8ghz

Try this, the i7 920 overclockers guide for dummies. I realize you have a 930 but it should be similar. I can't guarantee everything there is accurate but it should get you in the ballpark.

unfortunately without changing the motherboard in that system I am pretty certain that you actually cannot overclock at all. Dell bios's tend to be made to keep people from changing stuff and breaking their systems.

No, it does not. I didn't know if he had changed the motherboard or what. I assumed he had since he was asking how to OC it. See, it's that assumption thing again.
