Extreme slow booting

after replacing the graphic card, my PC is booting up very slow. Each character - on the boot screen - is showing up one by one. So, about 20 minutes later my login screen is showing up. Also, my BIOS recognizes only 2,8 MB RAM instead of 4 MB installed. Once started up, everything is working normal (but with only 2,8 MB RAM)

configuration:
Intel Core 2 1,86 MHz
4 MB RAM
Award Bios 6.00 PG (04/13/07)
Motherboard MS-7318
Asus Nvidia GeForce GT220 1 MB

Did you uninstall all previous video drivers before installing new gpu?
Did you previously have onboard video?
Did you disable onboard video in bios?
That's more then likely your problem.

I would reset my bios to defaults and see if you regain the memory.
