Extremely new to gaming PCs

dualcores are faster than quad cores in most games...no matter how much ppl tout quad core...get an e8400 for now !

Pure FUD. Dual's will OC better but they are not faster at the same clock speeds.

true, but look at it from a cost point andf they are faster, where are you going to get a stock quad at 3 ghz for 189 huh ?
