My system is setup with a 3x1 Eyefinity configuration using the Radeon HD 7850 2GB and (three of) Asus ML228H 21.5" 1920X1080.
The Windows 7 desktop stretches across the three monitors, as expected, and I added the game to the Eyefinity configuration settings, so that the extra-wide resolution is available in the game's video settings. I can change the resolution in the game (Unreal Tournament III) to stretch across all three monitors, and that seems to work (i.e. the game menus all look okay). However, when I launch into the actual game play, the resolution drops significantly, even though it is still stretched across the three monitors. It also gets somewhat choppy.
Is something not configured properly, or is my system simply under-powered?
■AMD Athlon II X3 455 Rana 3.3GHz
■ASRock M3A770DE AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
■Corsair Vengeance Blue 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600
I'm planning to upgrade to the AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz soon. Would another graphics card configured in Crossfire with the HD7850 help? Thanks!
