Faction points/Smuggler question

Smugglers and faction points... I heard (in fact I think it was HERE) that
selling faction points was worthless and pointless. Then I meet a guy
tonight who says he's made millions in doing this, and that I was missing
out HUGE. What's the real lowdown? Who do you sell the points to? Opposing
faction recruiter or players?

I had another damn question but for the life of me I cannot remember it...

I would disagree with that, I spent yesterday selling off fp to some guy who
wanted to go Rebel. he currently had a -5000 Rebel Standing. After our
transactions i came in clearing with a profit of 500k Charged him a cheap
price for going and switching factions. You can infact make money off of
this feature, for example people who are wanting to go off and buy bases, or
ATST's if your imperial. You just have to find the poor guy who needs the
faction points and has the money to do this. Once your ready to do this
simply visit a recruiter of your own faction and offer him a donation of 10k
he'll reward you with 150 fp. then when your ready simply select the party
and type in /delegatefaction 200 or what ever. select the party and press
enter. its going to say that you delegated 200 faction points at a cost of
say 100 fp for a total of 300fp something like that. the Higher your Rank
with your faction the better rate you get, because it costs you fp to sell
them.

I haven't done this before but I've heard of it. I also heard that you have
to be covert to do so. Is that true ?

I'm pretty sure the smuggler has to be overt, I don't know if it matters for
the person receiving the fp. The smuggler has to have Underworld IV to do
this.
