I just wondering about the BFG Factory OC'd versions of 8800GTS. What is the different compare with other stockclocked version of the same model? Do they have better cooling system, component for OC or anything like that?
Will I be able to do the same OC on any card from other branches at home?
My friend said they're all the same card but with different external design. Is he correct?

Factory OCed usually has a slightly higher performance rating than a normal stock clocked card, but is more expensive.

I have the XFX 8800GTS (factory OC), and it had the reference cooler and reference PCB layout. Just higher clock rates. AFAIK most 8800-based graphics cards are reference PCB layout - I may be wrong. If I'm right, then your friend is largely right - totally right if 'different external design' refers to stickers only.

Factory OC cards generally overclock about as far as stock clocked cards.

Hope this helps...

So there isn't so much different between them. Just that factory OC'd cards has higher clockrates than stock while I can generally OC any other non-factory-OC to get the same performance.
Is this correct?
