Failed to boot from HDD

Hey everyone! I tried cutting a few seconds from my bootup time, so I've selected HDD as my first boot device, instead of the CD/DVD rom. I get the Gigabyte welcome image, the bootup stats, and when it says "Loading operating system" it just suddenly restarts.

Tried changing what HDD should it boot up first, so it would get to the one with Windows on it first, because I have two SATA3 winchesters, both in NTFS, set on AHCI.

Tried setting em on IDE, it resulted in a quick boot up until it reached the Windows 7 loading screen, and it crashed. RAID is not an option.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte ga-p67a-d3-b3

What should I do to be able to boot from HDD, thus speeding up the whole bootup process?
Thank you for anything!

Well, interestingly enough it did work. I've tried restarting it in normal mode just for the heck of it, and for some reason it worked as well after that. What happened? It's working fine all of the sudden!

I think I've got it. You can't have 'Fast boot' enabled when the first boot device is the HDD, or else it'll crash the system.

I don't know why this is, but this is the source of my problem. I've disabled fast boot, and the comp is now booting from the harddrive. It's a lot faster now, so that solves my problem.

Thanks for your help!
