Failed to pass crc check (124)

i tried to install nvidia display driver 8.16.11.8798 and it failed to pass crc check(124) why?

Did you make sure to uninstall any AMD video drivers before installing nvidia drivers?

Are you installing from a CD ?? -- CRC or Cyclic Redundancy Check failures are normally caused by the failure to read the file properly from the disk (normally due to a scratch or dirt causing a disk read failure) - the file has a certain value stored with it that is checked after reading the file from the disk and if the read value does not match the stored value you get the error to let you know something went wrong on the reading of the file -- best bet would be to redownload the file from Nvidia and try again.
