I have found the core of my problems with Fallout 4, yet I don't know how to fix them!
I ran some basic tests and recorded the results:
Fallout 4 (Running at 28-32 FPS) -
Edit- Game runs at 40-45 FPS in other parts of game. I just tested it in places where the FPS was lowest ( • _ •)
GPU Usage: 25-26%
Temperature: 59-60°C
Power: 45-46%
RainbowSix Siege (Running at 60 FPS [no drops])
GPU Usage: 60-65%
Temperature: 65°C
Power: 64-68%
This explains why no matter what settings my game are at, there is NO CHANGE IN FPS. I know someone who has a GTX970 and the same AMD processor and he runs the game at 60fps. And as represented by RainbowSix, my processor is not bottlenecking my GPU.
Clearly something is very wrong with Fallout 4.
Yes, I understand that the game is poorly optimized.
Yes, I have the latest Drivers.
Yes, I have done a COMPLETE uninstall and fresh reinstall of my drivers.
Yes, I have attempted validating game files on steam (even did a full uninstall/ reinstall).
Yes, I have "enabled muti-thread rendering" in-game.
Yes, I have messed with EVERY graphic setting, INCLUDING Vsync AND godrays, ITS NOT THE DAMN GODRAYS!!! XD
If anyone has any suggestions to kick my GPU in to high gear for Fallout, that'd be great. Please help, many Bothans lost their lives in order to retrieve this information.
