Hello all,
Maybe someone could help me understand this better as Google is no help.
I am building a pc from scratch and everything was going smooth until I started adding the fans.
My problem is -
I have a fan hub with 10 5-pin sockets which i have connected all of my fans to. ✔
The hub is connected to my psu via sata cable ✔
There is a 3-pin female cable coming out of fan hub and my motherboard has a 4-pin fan slot ❌
Now my questions are -
Is it necessary to connect fan hub to motherboard even though it is already connected to sata for power? ( I have connected my reset button to the fan hub so I can toggle it on/off and adjust the speed )
If I have to connect it, is there an adapter out there which will work with it? ( 4-pin female to 3-pin male !! Not a splitter )
Will the remote which came with the hub work?
May I also add that the fans are RGB.
Thanks
