Good Day,

I just bought an mini-itx motherboard wich is only have a 1xPWM CPU_FAN socket and 1xPWM SYS_FAN socket. My chassis have 1x 20cm 3pin PWM fan and 2x 8cm 4pin PWM fan,
I can't find IDE/SATA pin convert to 4pin PWM here in my place, the only can buy is the 4pin splitter to 3x 4pin PWM, can I use this 4pin splitter on my motherboard SYS_FAN socket to power my 3 fan?

Solution
Yes, connect single header to motherboard, connect 3 pin fans to the other end of splitter headers, I'm not aware of 3 pin PWM fan, all PWM fans has 4 pin header (three pin for power {12V & 0V ground} + one pin for PWM circuity.

The sys-fan header use 12V lane, so motherboard is only passing the power NOT giving from its own circuity, actually have you try?
